Can i still take ibuprofen with hydroxychloroquine Chloroquine and proguanil brand

Hydroxychloroquine HCQ, sold under the brand name Plaquenil among others, is a medication used for the prevention and treatment of certain types of malaria. Specifically it is used for chloroquine-sensitive malaria. Other uses include treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and porphyria cutanea tarda. It is taken by mouth. I started on Plaquenil again. I stopped taking it the first time because my stomach hurt so bad. My rheumy said to just take a half a pill right now 100 mg. It's been about a week now and I am noticing dizziness, fatigue and just kind of weak. Can this be a side effect of Plaquenil when you first start? I don't recall it happening last time. First, my mother and sister took plaquenil for lupus with good effect, so I am not just disliking it for no good reason. I also suffer from disabling bipolar disorder. For 25 years, I have gotten hypomanic during spring. Very happy, never depressed. When I started taking Plaquenil, I got a bit depressed but that's not a big deal.

Hydroxychloroquine is used to treat lupus erythematosus and rheumatoid arthritis. It isn’t fully understood how this drug works to treat lupus erythematosus or rheumatoid arthritis. That means you may need to take it with other drugs. It treats malaria by killing the parasites that cause the disease.

Chloroquine and primaquine combining old drugs as a new. Primaquine is active as a chloroquine-resistance reverser at concentrations that could be clinically relevant. As primaquine and chloroquine are already used together in the treatment of P. vivax, this is potentially a cheap way of reviving and extending the life of chloroquine.
