    Plaquenil and heavy periods

I am 29 years old and after dealing undiagnosed for 6 months (blood work always came back negative for anything) I was finaly and greatfully diagnosed with RA. I just went for my follow up and had blood work dont to make sure the medicine isnt causing any issues with my body and my labs came back great. It took about 8 weeks for me to feel the results, but they are amazing!

Amenorrhea uh-men-o-REE-uh is the absence of menstruation — one or more missed menstrual periods. Women who have missed at least three menstrual periods in a row have amenorrhea, as do girls who haven't begun menstruation by age 15. The most common cause of amenorrhea is pregnancy. Plaquenil is most often well-tolerated but, like with any drug, side effects are possible. Most people about 90% who take antimalarial medications experience no side effects. If common side effects do occur, they are usually minor and last only for a short period of time. First, my mother and sister took plaquenil for lupus with good effect, so I am not just disliking it for no good reason. I also suffer from disabling bipolar disorder. For 25 years, I have gotten hypomanic during spring. Very happy, never depressed. When I started taking Plaquenil, I got a bit depressed but that's not a big deal.

I have always been like clockwork when it comes to that. My main consern and why I am here, is I am currently 7 Days late on my MC.

Can plaquenil 200 mg, stop your period? i'm 4 days late If you have a history of bleeding from your stomach or bowels, experience heavy menstrual periods, or repeatedly donate blood, you may have iron deficiency. Kidney failure. If you have kidney failure, you may also have iron deficiency, often with anemia. When kidneys don't function properly, iron stores in your blood can decrease. I have ceased the voltaren altogether! Still taking the plaquenil. My question is that I also seem to be having some menstrual irregularities.spotting after treatment. It is bright red and usually last a day or 2, about once each day. Now I am also pre menopausal and have had very irregular cycles anyway, going from near non existent to very heavy.

Effects of Hydroxychloroquine on Proteinuria in IgA. Proteinuria is the strongest prognostic factor in IgAN, for which the effect is dose dependent and independent of other risk factors. 4 Patients with IgAN with proteinuria with protein excretion 1 g/d and possibly 0.5 to 1 g/d are considered to be at a higher risk for kidney function decline.
